Key policies for Paul’s Academy

Engagement and Payments

Engagement Start: Begins upon offer acceptance and onboarding completion.

Employment Status: Defined in your engagement letter (employee or independent contractor).

Payments:

Exclusively through official Academy channels (payroll/contractor systems).

No direct payments from students are permitted.

Rates, schedules, and invoicing details are in your engagement letter.

Duties, Availability, and Performance

Responsibilities: Lesson delivery, material preparation, progress assessment, adherence to

Academy policies and curriculum.

Availability: Prompt notification of absences and approved cover/rescheduling arrangements

are required.

Performance Monitoring: Sessions may be observed/recorded for quality assurance and

training purposes.

Conduct, Safeguarding, and Social Media

Professional Conduct: Respectful and professional behavior towards students, parents, and

colleagues is mandatory.

Safeguarding: Compliance with safeguarding policies and background checks is mandatory.

Social Media: Refrain from posting defamatory, confidential, or reputation-damaging content

about the Academy or its community.

Confidentiality, Intellectual Property, and

Recordings

Confidentiality: All student data and Academy information must be kept strictly confidential.Intellectual Property:

Materials created for the Academy belong to the Academy unless otherwise agreed.

You grant the Academy a perpetual, royalty-free license to use and adapt your materials.

Recordings: You consent to session recordings for administrative or training purposes.

Termination, Complaints, and Dispute

Resolution

Termination:

The Academy may terminate engagement for misconduct, poor performance, or breach of

terms.

You may resign with notice as stated in your engagement letter.

Complaints: The Academy investigates complaints and may suspend teachers during

investigations.

Dispute Resolution: Internal grievance procedures must be used first; unresolved disputes

follow the laws of the Academy’s jurisdiction.

Liability, Indemnity, Insurance, and Data

Consent

Liability: The Academy’s liability is limited to payments specified in the engagement letter.

Indemnity: You must indemnify the Academy for losses caused by breaches or unlawful actions.

Insurance: Contractors must maintain professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Data Consent: You consent to the Academy processing your personal data for payroll,

administration, and marketing (with opt-out options).

Digital Acceptance: Digital acceptance during onboarding constitutes agreement to these

terms.
